How To Join The HMS Ark Royal Association
Full Membership of the HMS Ark Royal Association is open to all serving or former naval, military, NAAFI or laundry staff, including attached squadrons, who served a period of at least four weeks aboard:
- HMS Ark Royal V (R07) at any time between 1st July 1985 and 11th March 2011
- HMS Ark Royal IV (R09) at any time between 25th February 1955 and 14th February 1979
Associate Membership is available to any close relative of a deceased former member of the crew of HMS Ark Royal (including HMS Ark Royal III (91)).
Honorary membership may also be awarded to an individual who otherwise may not qualify for membership at the discretion of The Committee.
The joining fee for Full and Associate Members of the HMS Ark Royal Association is £10.00, this includes the first year's subscription. Honorary membership is free (contact us for more information on Honorary Membership). The annual subscription, due on the anniversary of first payment, is also currently £10.00.
Membership entitles you to a credit-card style membership card, two newsletters per year and the right to attend all Association functions (subject to any extra ticketing charges). We hold social events in various parts of the United Kingdom, not just Portsmouth.
